The Pull List #03

The Pull List #03

Welcome back fellow Blerds to another edition of The Pull List—your one-stop shop for all things in blerd culture, comic books, and beyond.

This week, we got an action-packed selection of comics that you will love to dive into. Our curated list spotlights Black characters, dynamic narratives, and themes that enjoyed reading and wanted to share with our fellow comic connoisseurs that resonate with the culture.

Without further or do, let's get berserk with our favorite grumpy Uncle Logan aka Wolverine who—while not a blerd—definitely wouldn't mind kicking it drinking some beers at bar listening to some war stories:

Wolverine Revenge Red Band #3

The brutal battles of WOLVERINE: REVENGE #3 expanded with this Red Band edition featuring exclusive pages! Polybagged to contain the bloodiest issue yet!

Description: TARGET: DEADPOOL AND OMEGA RED! WOLVERINE's quest for vengeance leads him from old friends to old enemies - with death in his hands! Jonathan Hickman and Greg Capullo take LOGAN to the brink - setting the stage for the next unbelievable chapter. Trust us - you'll never guess where this one leads.

Now we all know Wolverine is a person who you do not want to cross at all. Old foes and a few old friends have crossed the line and nothing is stopping him to to achieving his one goal: REVENGE. Wolverine was taken heads and tentacles in battles to the death. With all the action and bloody battles, I definitely enjoyed reading every panel.

RAMGOD #4

Description: Clint's debut as the newest member of the Barracudas gets off to a rocky start as the new season of the RAMGOD Sports League kicks off. Meanwhile Malcolm navigates the challenges of his new 'internship' role, shadowing the eccentric team engineer, Trux. Meanwhile, in the shadows, tech giant CEO Declan Holloway is scheming to carve out his own piece of the rapidly expanding RAMGOD empire. RAMGOD feels like Point Break meets Fast & Furious, but in a CyberPunk setting that introduces a brand new super high-octane global sport.

Now for the cover art alone it reminds me of the roller games from Alita: Battle Angel that alone reels me in. Add a feel of Cyberpunk world meets point break and fast and the furious, IM SOLD!! Fresh stories in this comic book era is always refreshing to dive into.

Spawn #358

Description: Spawn and Lyra are getting closer and closer to Bludd’s inner circle, but what they discover will change everything Al thought he knew about the Dead Zones.

As a lover of all things Spawn, I have been getting back into reading the new story lines. I feel like Spawn is one of the most slept characters in the comic realm. Can't wait to pick this up and add to my many Spawn comics.

Predator vs Black Panther #3

Description: PREDATORS GAIN ONE OF EARTH'S DEADLIEST RESOURCES! The Great Mound falls to the invasion! Vibranium is finally within reach of the Predator invaders. But the would-be conquerors are divided... and Wakanda knows better than most what that will do to a nation. If Shuri and T'Challa don't find a way to stop the rival Yautja clans, Wakanda will be collateral damage in a battle that began on distant stars... and the war won't stop there.

The Predator stories and even the whole Predator mythos has also been interesting. Reading the different storylines where Predator's have faced iconic pop and nerd culture icons have always shown those characters in a different light; this story line does just that with our favorite African King, T'Challa aka The Black Panther. Now the Black Panther has faced many threats that has challenged him but none like this. To show that the Predators were giving some of the best fighters in the world a run for there money was wild. The connection between the Predators and Wakanda was an interesting spin that I will leave for you to find out. Definitely started this series from Issue #1 and enjoyed every minute reading it.
