The Pull List #02
What's Good? Blerds! Welcome to another issue of our weekly pull list—your one-stop shop for all things in blerd culture, comic books, and beyond.
This week, we're diving into an action-packed selection of comics that you need to add to your collection ASAP. Our curated list spotlights Black characters, dynamic narratives, and themes that resonate with the culture.
Let's kick things off with Uncle Tony Stark, who—while not a blerd—definitely deserves an invite to the cookout:

Iron Man #1
Description: A NEW, BRUTAL ERA BEGINS! Roxxon and AIM team up to take on Stark Unlimited, but they expect the old Tony Stark. This one? He's a lot angrier than they're prepared for. Iron Man is going to war with new armor, old enemies, and unbelievable twists. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Spencer Ackerman and drawn by Julius Ohta.
This is Iron Man we're talking about. There's nothing better than diving into a fresh take on one of Marvel's most iconic characters, and this one promises a darker, more intense Tony. With new armor and old enemies, the stakes are higher, and the twists will leave you wanting more. I'm always down for an Iron Man comic, but when you throw in a more fury-powered Stark? Easy win for me. I'll be grabbing this one, without a doubt.

The Power Fantasy #3
Description: On July 16, 1945, the world changed forever. Santa Valentina was born. Oh, and there was also the Trinity test, but that's not as important. The story dives into the life of this enigmatic figure as the world hangs in the balance. And also... check out that cow!
Power Fantasy has been delivering some truly wild storytelling; issue #3 is no exception. We're getting a deeper look into the origins of Santa Valentina, and from what I can tell, it's about to get even crazier. The narrative has been strong, and I'm excited to see where this backstory takes us. Also, there's a cow involved. I do not know what that's about, but I'm curious. The art looks great, and this is shaping to be one of the standout series in my collection.

Moon Man #5
Description: Ramon is diving deeper into the mystery of his powers, uncovering truths that change everything. With his family's safety on the line, he must decide where he stands and figure out who he can trust.
Moon Man has been a steady read, and with issue #5, the stakes are starting to hit home. The art has stayed on point, and the writing has only improved. Ramon's story keeps getting more layered, especially with his family now in danger. The cosmic horror vibes and his personal dilemmas make this series a standout. If you've been following along, this issue takes things up a notch—and if you haven't, now's a great time to catch up!

Blade Runner: Tokyo Nexus #4

Description: Tokyo 2015: Two Kalanthia survivors, ex-marine Mead, and Replicant combat model Stix, fight for their lives while hunting the traitor who left them to die. Now working as unlicensed detectives, they are caught between rival Yakuza clans and Tyrell Corp's newest enemies.
I'm a simple man. I see future/cyberpunk storylines, and I buy them. The art is solid, the story is decent, and while it's not groundbreaking, it scratches that cyberpunk itch. Blade Runner fans will appreciate the gritty, noir atmosphere mixed with futuristic tech and moral dilemmas. If you're like me and love anything in this genre, it's worth adding to your pull list. Tokyo's dystopian world has always been an intriguing backdrop for these kinds of stories.

Blade: Red Band #1

Description: For years, Blade has been the deadliest vampire hunter in the Marvel Universe. But after the bloody events of Blood Hunt, what's left of him? Has the vampire within survived? Has the man? Blade's new saga begins here, at the dawn of a bloody new chapter.
What more needs to be said? It's Blade. We see Blade, we buy Blade. But beyond that, this new series looks to dive deeper into the internal conflict that Blade has been dealing with for years. Is there any of the man left inside, or has the vampire hunter fully taken over? I'm excited to see how this new series develops, especially after the fallout from Blood Hunt. You already know this will be full of action and drama, so don't miss out on picking this one up. However, this issue does hit us at the same time as some of the worst news for the Blade franchise, as the Blade Movie from Marvel Studios is delayed indefinitely. Join us this Thursday night as we talk about this more.
