This week, we’re diving into an action-packed selection of comics that you need to add to your collection ASAP. Our curated list spotlights Black characters, dynamic narratives, and themes that resonate with the culture. As always, if you want the full release schedule for this week, check out leagueofcomicgeeks.com. Now let’s jump in:

Rogue Sun #22 (Image Comics)

Summary: Rogue Sun is back on the hunt, tracking down the killer of a Sparrow Sister. As Dylan dives deeper, his family’s dark secrets start unraveling, and alliances shift in ways he never saw coming. Will his sense of justice lead him to victory, or will his complicated legacy get the better of him?

If you love complex hero narratives, this one’s for you. Dylan’s world is filled with mystery and moral dilemmas that add depth to a gripping storyline. Rogue Sun brings a fresh take on the superhero genre with darker themes and emotional stakes.

My Take: Rogue Sun is new for me, and honestly, I couldn’t put it down after the first issue. It’s one of the few new series that caught my attention. Image Comics is killing it with this one. If you’re not reading it yet, get on board—you won’t regret it.

 DC Comics Outsiders #11

Summary: Batman’s covert team is back, tackling the dirty work in the gray area between justice and chaos. With new enemies to face and old wounds resurfacing, Outsiders #11 dives deep into the team’s internal conflicts. The stakes? Nothing short of global survival.

Why You Should Pick It Up: This is a no-brainer if underdog heroes and team dynamics are your thing. Outsiders showcase lesser-known heroes with rich backstories, balancing intense action with complex character development. Plus, the art and storytelling have been on point throughout this run.

My Take: DC has been expanding the Batman family universe in all the right ways lately, and Outsiders is proof of that. The deep character development, gritty plotlines, and incredible art make this a must-read. It’s issue #11, but don’t worry; you can catch up quickly at your local comic shop or even on Amazon (if you have to).

Marvel Comics Namor #3

Summary: The ruler of the seas is back, juggling power struggles in his underwater kingdom while dealing with his complex identity as a hero on the surface. Namor faces a rising political storm, and this issue delves into his internal battle between power, diplomacy, and what it means to be both ruler and hero.

Why You Should Pick It Up: Namor is one of Marvel’s most nuanced anti-heroes, and this current run is diving into his character's complexity. It’s the perfect time to jump in if you’re looking for a story that combines political intrigue with action-packed superhero drama.

My Take: After seeing Namor in _Black Panther: Wakanda Forever_, I had to dive into his solo story. I hadn’t read much about him before this, but this run is hitting all the right notes for me. We’re only at issue #3, so you’ve got plenty of time to catch up—don’t sleep on this one.

Moon Man #4 (Image Comics)

Summary: Moon Man’s world continues to spiral as one fatal mistake changes everything for Ramon and those closest to him. He’s battling cosmic horrors, but his inner demons might be the real threat.

Why You Should Pick It Up: Cosmic horror meets street-level heroism in a truly unique way. Moon Man blends supernatural elements with raw human emotion, creating a story as thought-provoking as action-packed. Plus, the art is next-level.

My Take: Did you know Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi is behind this one? If you didn’t, now you do—and it’s fantastic. You can feel the love and care he put into this project; the art is on another level. If you’re a fan of creatives pushing boundaries, you need to be reading Moon Man. Also, if you’re curious about other celeb-driven comics, check out _Berserker_ by Keanu Reeves—trust me, it’s wild.

Knights vs. Samurai #1 (Image Comics)

Summary: In this epic clash of cultures, the most honorable warriors of the West meet the fiercest fighters of the East. Knights and samurai face a brutal battle, each testing their strength, loyalty, and code of honor.

Why You Should Pick It Up: If you love historical fiction with a fantasy twist, this series will be right up your alley. The world-building and epic combat scenes promise to make this a standout debut issue.

My Take: Honestly, this one’s an easy pick for me. I see knights fighting samurai, and I’m sold. Simple as that. If you’re into high-stakes combat with some of the most legendary warriors in history, grab this one—it will be epic.

The Magic Order Series 5, Issue #1 (Image Comics)

Summary: The Magic Order is back for its fifth series, and things are getting darker than ever. This issue starts a new arc filled with betrayal, magical crime families, and enemies lurking around every corner. The stakes are high, and no one is safe.

Why You Should Pick It Up: This series is for fans of magic, mafia-style drama, and complex family dynamics. Mark Millar’s _The Magic Order_ has been a fan favorite, and this new arc continues to deliver dark, twisty narratives with powerful characters and intense magic battles.

My Take: The Magic Order has been a personal favorite of mine for a while now. It’s as if Harry Potter grew up in the mob—pure magic meets pure chaos. I’ve got every issue from series 1 to 4, and I can’t wait to see where this one goes. If you haven’t jumped in yet, I highly recommend grabbing the earlier volumes—you won’t be disappointed.

Blade Runner: Tokyo, Nexus Issue #3

Summary: In the neon-lit streets of Tokyo, rogue Nexus units are causing chaos, and a lone detective is getting closer to uncovering the truth. But with every answer, more questions arise about what it means to be human in a world dominated by synthetic life.

Why You Should Pick It Up: If you’re a fan of the _Blade Runner_ universe, this series continues to explore the fine line between humanity and artificial intelligence. The noir vibes and futuristic tech keep the dystopian feel alive.

My Take: I’m grabbing this one purely out of my love for the _Blade Runner_ movies. So far, the story has been decent, and the art is fantastic. If you’re a sci-fi fan looking for something to mix up your pull list, this one’s worth a look.
