New hero Hazard is coming
Yo Blerds! Welcome back to Blerdimension, where we're breaking down the latest in gaming that's got our community buzzing.
Blizzard just dropped a reveal video introducing their newest tank hero, Hazard, who's been teasing us through graffiti tags scattered across Oasis. The Scottish hero bursts onto the scene with a new criminal faction called the Phreaks, as they execute a heist targeting some mysterious experimental tech.
The reveal caught me off guard - especially that Scottish accent, which was nowhere near what I'd imagined from the Season 13 trailer teases. But watching the video breakdown, we can get a solid look at what seems to be his kit:
- What looks like a shotgun-style projectile with potential knockback on the alt-fire
- A ground-slam ability (which, yeah, might not sit well with the growing anti-Mauga crowd)
- Some wild crystal formations shooting from his back that seem primed for AOE damage
Whether these abilities tie directly to the purple substance they're stealing or that tech strapped to his back is still up in the air.
The Phreaks themselves are interesting - bringing this cyberpunk criminal element into the mix. While they're currently positioned as background players in Hazard's origin story, I'm curious to see how this colorful crew might factor into the larger Null Sector conflict down the line.
